It leverages machine learning and the iNaturalist API to provide species recognition, detailed identification information, ecological impact, and guidance on management or control. The tool aims to support citizen science, environmental awareness, and informed decision-making regarding invasive species.

EcoSentry is an algorithmically calibrated recommendations soil testing platform that puts professional-grade soil analysis in the palm of your hand. EcoSentry replaces costly and timely laboratory testing with a portable, smartphone-compatible diagnostic system designed for gardeners, farmers, and environmental professionals alike.

How It Works:

EcoSentry works with any of the 18 supported commercial soil test kits you may already own. Simply photograph your test results or enter your readings manually, and EcoSentry’s algorithmically calibrated recommendations engine applies a kit-specific calibration profile to score your soil, identify deficiencies, and deliver prioritized amendment recommendations for your crop or use, and calculates the impact to your local watershed based on USGS Watershed Boundary Dataset and the EPA “How’s My Waterway APIs. The app can be accessed via web or smartphone, no proprietary hardware required.
